removing white space in unused fields when printing - Lotus Aproach

Hi,

Lotus Approach 9.6

I have just put together a mailing list, using 10 fields.

Some address fields are blank in records with short addresses.  When
printing labels, the blank lines are spreading the address down the
label with white space.  How do I loose the empty fields when printing?
Searched the help files in the program but cannot find info on this.

Thanks

Tinman

First, you are using a _very_ buggy version of Approach. You should upgrade
to 9.7 or 9.8 ASAP. Anyway... go into the properties dialog for each field
on your label. Go to the "Size and Print" tab (it has a small white
rectangle and red arrows). Check the box that says "when printing, slide
up". Again, do this for each field on the label. You can just "lasso" all
the fields to do this in one step. The default, however, is for Approach to
have automatically chosen this for mailing labels, so it may be a bug, or
related to your printer driver, or you are using this version under XP
(which it is not certified to run on, and this is the kind of error one may
expect). For further help, visit www.xpertss.com , a free, no spam, no

Many thanks Alan,

Have now got everything as it should be.

It was not defaulting on size and print tab to  "slide up"
Running Windows 98
Approach version 9.6.0005.1900
