The issue is that on a small number of XP/Win2k boxes the install is failing. What occurs is that the install completes then once I access ODBC and try to add a foxpro source I get this error:
the setup routines for ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 1114.
I then tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling. During the install this error now comes up:
error 1918 error installing odbc driver microsoft visual foxpro driver odbc error 13. Could not load the setup or translator library. verify that the file microsoft visual foxpro driver exists and that you can access it.
Any ideas, other then a complete re-format??
Thanks

Thanks Lee, but I'm not sure thats going to help. I'm getting the error by running the VFPODBC.MSI offered on the product update page for Foxpro. So I didn't actually create the install. Any ideas? I am thinking I will just need to call in for support.

Is the system signed in with (at least) local administrator level access? As with most MS "global" installs, this is a requirement.

Hi Taskman:
Did Rick's suggestion or my article provide a solution? If not, did you
ever find a workaround or resolve the problem on your own?
I hope this helps and have a Happy New Year.
