Have always been hearing so much about how great VFP is, but for someone new
and wanted to give it a try, it seems like hard luck to get our hands on a
copy. Doesn't make much sense to purchase a full license to try it out, or
to subscribe to MSDN just for it. Not that we encourage it, but even a
pirated copy is hard to come by. So how is one going to pick up and learn
this wonderful language, is that a cause for declining sales?
So I'm wondering if there could be possibly an eval version with full
functionary except you can't compile it into any form? This way, after kind
of an in-depth trial, we would be more confident if to go ahead.

Hi L,
There isn't an evaluation version, but there will be a public Beta of the
next version, VFP9, sometime this spring.

Hi L. Swift:
There is no evaluation copy of VFP 8.0. If you have VFP 5, 6, or 7, you
can get the VFP 8.0 product upgrade at a lower price.
If you want to explore what VFP can do, then go to www.hentzenwerke.com and
look at some of the VFP books. This can give you an idea of what
programming in VFP looks like.
I hope this helps.
