Hi,

I'm using FoxPro8. I have created a setup file through
installshield which comes with FoxPro. When I run it on a
machine which has FoxPro installed it works OK, Problem is
when I run it on a non foxpro machine.

The error message I am getting is:

"OLE exception error: Exception code c0000005. OLE object
maybe corrupt"

Now I believe that the probelm is with an OLE calendar I
am using, but I can't work out how to correct this error.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Sally,
What OCX's are you distributing with your application and how did you
get them on the machines? Did you use merge modules for them?

Hi Mark,

I am using mscal.ocx. I got it from the activeX button on
the tool options. All I did was placed it on the form. As
far as I know I have not copied in any merge modules apart
from the standard ones for FoxPro8. I have setup other
installers, which work fine, but it's just this one
activeX control which is causing me problems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Sally,
You will need to distribute that ocx with your application if VFP is not
on those machines. How do you plan on distributing it? Are you going to use
InstallShield? Let me know and I can tell you what to do to get the ocx
registered on the client machines.

Thanks,
Mark Barnard
