That's a tough one. First, do you know if the CD refers to a Compact Disc drive, or the Change Directory?
Many page faults are due to other programs not playing "nice" with VFP. The usual suspects are Virus Checkers (and unfound viruses), Video and Printer Drivers, Screen Savers - especially Win3.x and shareware/freeware ones, and in Win98 runing with an "Active" desktop.
Perhaps you can see what other things may be different about this machine in particular. Of course replacing the VFP8R.DLL file and making sure you are using the SP1 version should be also tried.

It refers to Compact Disc. Sorry for not being precise about the
error message.
