Foxpro 6.0 will not load on my Windows XP machine
I get the following error message: "can't find Acme setup"

What do I do to get Foxpro to load on XP?

Sounds like a bad install media. Are you using the original CD? I have never
had problems installing VFP6 on any Win32 OS.

How are you loading VFP 6.0? Are you installing it while logged in under a user that has (at least) local Adiministrator level access? If it's on a CD, is an original or a copy? If it's a copy, does the CD have a title of VFPPROD1 ? Are you using a non-English version of XP? I've installed this many (30+) times on Win 95, 98, NT, 2000, and XP (mostly), and have never had a problem.

Hi CMO:

Along with the other suggestions, I would disable any anti virus software
you have running before installing.  If that does not help, I would copy
the VFP 6.0 CD to a folder on the hard drive and try installing from the
hard drive copy.  You might have a problem with the CD-ROM on the machine.

I hope this helps.
