Hello everyone,
Does anyone have the PCCharge SDK (developer's kit or devkit)? I just
need
the VB instructions for the File Method, I do not want to spend $598
and purchase the entire SDK Suite, only for the VB instructions for
the File Method. I am ready to pay you whatever you think is fair for
sharing
this information with me.

We've done intergartion with X-Charge and MerchantWARE , now we need
PCCharge (as the preffered choice for our users), so we do have
experience in integrating various CC software through various methods,
so we definately won't need much help (just the basic instructions) ,
we wouldn't need a test account, we do not need the PCCharge server
software, we do not need PCCharge support, just the instructions. I do
not want to spend $598
and purchase the entire SDK Suite, only for the VB instructions for
the File Method. Again, I am ready to pay you whatever you think is
fair for sharing
this information with me.

I do use PCCharge but I personally would consider what you are requesting
software piracy.

You would need the DLL's and the OCX's and the only way to get them is with
the dev kit.

I think that their pricing is way to high but that doesn't give me the right
to do what you are asking.

If you needed help with VFP and PCCharge I'd be happy to share my
experience.

1.) I understand your concern, but I already talk to them and they
said that this is not a problem, if I can find the instructions from
someone who is willing to share.
Again, we are only looking for instructions (it is a file named
"samplecode.txt") it is not software piracy especially because we do
not need any DLL files nor software, just a text file.

2.) With the File method, you do not need OCX nor DLL files, it works
something like this (and I'm just using a hypothetical example in
here, the details in here are probably wrong) : {A file method ,means
one software is calling the other software, by executing its exe file
and adding swithces to it for the rest of the details in needs to
transfer to it - so let's say we have a Debit sale of $5.67 - and the
exe file for the PCCharge server program is "pccharge.exe"} then the
command that our software needs to execute/issue is "pccharge.exe /
type:debit /amount:$5.67". So do you see what kind of an integration
method is File Method, no DLL no OCX, nothing like that, we just need
the information of the switches, do you still think this is piracy ?
Call them and ask them, I'll pay for your time friend and you'll see.
And please remember before you put out such harsh accusations, we are
not looking for software here, but a text file and we did say we will
pay for it whatever you think sharing a text file is worth to you.

3.) Keep in mind that the SDK (which is a bunch of instructions of how
to inegrate the software , not a software) was free of charge for 7
years, before Verifone bought the rights to the PCCharge brand, when
this brand was owned by a better and less greedy company. So most
people that have the SDK (which is a bunch of instructions of how to
inegrate the software , not a software) got it for FREE, if you do a
survey and just read what owners of SDKs say on group boards, you will
see that 99.99% of them got them FREE of charge.

Thank you for all of your help.
