I have an AIX Box that has DB2 7.2 (Fix Pack 6) . Can I install DB2
8.1 client as anadditional instance>
Can I have 2 instances of DB2 one with 7.2 and the other with 8.1

Yes, different versions (v7 and v8, for example) coexist happily on
Unix and Linux platforms.
