Hi,
I have a UDB 8.1 (Fixpak 5)running on Window 2000 Server. Is it
possible to access db thru telnet? Configuring it thru db2ca is another
ways. But some commands like db2exfmt are not available in clients. I
tried connecting thru telnet, but i am unable to connect to DB.
Advance Thanks Friends.

Thanks.

You can try the old fashion way:

1) Allow Telnet sessions on your Windows 2000 Server.
2) Telnet from a remote session and log on.
3) cd to the appropriate direcotory, invoke a DB2 prompt by typing DB2.
(Before invoking the db2 prompts, the DB2 commands will be executable).
4) type in connect to <database name> with the appropriate login and
password

With the proper settings, you should be able to connect and access DB2.

Hope this helps.
