I am migrating from AIX to Linux DB2 7.2 During cleanup I deleted an
active log file. I am on log1540 and it says log 1541 is missing. It is.
I do not need any of the data, I can re-import. But I cannot connect.
I have no backups yet.
I do not want to drop the db and recreate because of all the work on the
table spaces and buffer pools.
Thanks for any help

Hi Willard,
If you don't have a backup ... your only hope is to call the support, maybe
they can arrange something just for you to export the database.
Hopefully, you will be able to migrate then to Linux, but I suggest the
latest release (8.2 FP8). Why keeping a non supported version when the
newest functionalities bring you so many things, in terms of performance,
exploitation ... ?
Version 7.2 is over ...

Hi William,
DB2 support can reset the Log Control Header file, this will allow you to
connect and generate the database DDL (db2look) and export the data.
Cheers,
