Hi,
I wish to install fixpak 11 on 8.1, On the machine we have 3
instances, but I only want to upgrade to fixpak 11 on one instance for
the time being. Can this be done? Or will installing the filesets
effect all instances even if I do not do a db2iupdate on all of them.

aix 5.2
db2 8.1 fixpak 4

thanks
Peter.

I guess you mean Fixpak 8 (8.1 FP8 is the latest) that is equivalent to
8.2 FP1.

Try to check in:

If you're using ESE, you can get an alternate fixpak, install that, and
update your single instance to that level.  Otherwise, no - installing
the fixpak will affect all instances.
