Will FixPak 10 for db2 UDB work on Redhat Enterprise Linux V3?

The IBM site says that FixPak 10 is only available for the
2.6 kernel.

l.html

RHEL V3 has a 2.4 kernel with much of the 2.6 functionality
added.  The latest FixPak available for the 2.4 kernel is FixPak 9a.

We am currently running db2 UDB with FixPak 7 and it works fine.

Technical info follows:

Linux version 2.4.21-37.ELsmp (bhcompile@tweety.build.redhat.com)
(gcc version 3.2.3 20030502 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.3-53))
 #1 SMP Wed Sep 7 13:28:55 EDT 2005

$ db2level
DB21085I  Instance "db2inst1" uses "32" bits and DB2 code release "SQL08020"
with level identifier "03010106".
Informational tokens are "DB2 v8.1.0.72", "s040914", "MI00086", and FixPak "7".
Product is installed at "/opt/IBM/db2/V8.1".

For FixPak 10:
   PTF number:   MI00142
   Build level:     s050811
   Prerequisite:   V8.1 GA
   Signature:      8.1.2.96
   Release Date:August 22 2005

for FixPak 9a:
   PTF number:   MI00105
   Build level:     OD14086
   Prerequisite:   V8.1 GA
   Signature:      8.1.0.89
   Release Date:June 22 2005

Thanks

FP10 is available for both the 2.4 and 2.6 kernels, although they are
separate distributions now. Just go to the link you posted, and select
Kernel 2.4

That's the problem.  If I select the 2.6 kernel, I find FixPaks 10, 9a,
and 9.  If I select the 2.4 kernel, I find FixPaks ...

Oops...  Looks like it's there now.  Last night, they only went to 9a...

Thanks for the help

Harold

I was always there if you go to the FTP site. Sometimes the web page links
are not always correct.
