You might want to have a look at DB2's federated capabilities, which allow
you to access Oracle tables/views like any other table/view in a DB2
database. Maybe this is what you want?

Hi,
Sounds like exactly what I need! Is there an API specfication on this
technology somewhere. IBM's DW seems to have only white papers on this.
(loads of information! its pretty surprising why documentation is not
kept simple)
It would be great if you could point me to an example where this
technology is used..
Rgds.

Here are the manuals. I would start with the Federated Systems Guide.
