Hello,
it seems that there is a free version of DB2 Express -
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/db2/udb/edition-expressc.html, named as
DB2 Express-C.
The page says that DB2 Express-C, a version of DB2 Universal Database
Express Edition (DB2 Express) for the community, is a no-charge data server
for use in development and deployment.

and there is no db size limit,
and ISVs can redistribute db2 with their applications ...

I don't know how it works, but recently every day I'm going to my work
I'm receiving a free morning newspaper.

I have a nostalgic feeling of the times where one CPU clock sounded
like a coin ;-)
