hi there
i  have a problem related to slow downloading speed.the situation is i
have about 60 PC's in a domain.when i ping ISP Gateway from a LAN PC i
get the replies...22, 25,35, 400, 50ms an some times 22, 40, 220, 150,
30, 100ms...I get lot of variations
and when i ping from server PC  by disconnecting LAN then i get theese
replies ... 15,16,24.26ms. the range is max from 15 to 26ms.
there is no problem with ISP. problm definitly lies with my LAN.
Now how to detect which PC is culprit is the solution im seeking from
you.
any suggestions appreciated.
thanks
tsb

You really want to ask this question on a LAN forum - not one for DB2.

It's not possible to give you a definitive answer without a lot more
information about your network design. However, If you have 60 pc's on a
lan segment and have the speed variations you've discussed, I wouldn't
be surprised to see this caused by collisions on the network.

Get a software network traffic analyzer on a pc with a permissive mode
lan card and monitor the network traffic to see qhat is happening.
