Hi all,

I installed DB2 RUNTIME CLIENT on my machine.i cataloged the
databases.when i tried to connect to DB2 SERVER(work group server
edition DB2 8.1.7.445 and FixPak 7) i am getting the following error

SQL30082N Attempt to establish connection failed with security reason
"26" ("SERVER SECURITY PLUGIN ERROR"). SQLSTATE=08001.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

What is your OS, from the DB2 message. You should check the OS log.
What is the AUTHENTICATION setting on the DB2 server?

Thanks for reply

We installed DB2 Server on Windows Xp(Service Pack 2).we are using
windows authentication
on DB2 Server
