system to RS6000 AIX system?
I know that is no possible from W2000 to Unix systems, but I don´t
know the differents unix compatibility.

Thanks in advance

No, there are 3 compatibility groups which can only be backed-up and
restored within each group:

1. AIX, HP/UX, Sun Solaris

2. Linux

3. Windows

DB2 v8 backups on AIX/6000 (pSeries) can be restored on DB2 v8 HP/UX
PA-RISC and vice-versa.

DB2 is not yet available on HP/Intel (Itanium). When it is, I'm not sure
whether backups will be compatible with DB2 for AIX or DB2 for HP PA/RISC.

Further to the point about Linux: this applies only to Intel/AMD Linux
platforms.  Ie, Intel32 <--> Intel64 <--> AMD64 (not sure which 64-bit
platforms DB2 is on right now; I'm talking about the technical restrictions
inside the backup/restore code).  You can't move backups between, say,
Intel32 Linux and S/390 Linux, not least of all because one is little-
endian and the other is big-endian.
