I have a db2 account on AIX.

After connecting to AIX using SSH, i use the account to connect to DB.

When I use "db2 connect <DB name>", it works fine.

However, when i use "db2 connect to <DB name> user <DB account> using
<PASSWD>",

the following error exist:

SQL30082N  Attempt to establish connection failed with security reason
"19"
("USERID DISABLED or RESTRICTED").  SQLSTATE=08001

I have tried to use the db2 account to login.  It works and the
password is not expired.

Do you have any solution?

Thanks

We have the same issue before. It's solved by enabling the 'remote
access' of the <DB account> on the AIX server.

rlogin is already given to DB account by our default.

So, what's indeed, the problem?

Hi,

The SQL code & reason code tells clearly that this particular user id
has been disabled or the user id has been restricted from accessing the
operating environment....

Check id is present on the proper group which is having db2 access.

In AIX shell prompt issue the following command to findout the groups

id idname
