Initializing Tapes when using multiple tapes

Hi.

If I am going to be using multiple tapes to backup a rather large
database , then do I have to initialize ALL the tapes beforehand to the
same blocksize or the backup command will take care of that as more
tapes are added?

Hi.

I just wanted to add that this is on a Windows NT Server.

I have to do this on a customer site next week so I am hoping someone
can help me with this question or point me to some documentation. I
haven't found this in any documentation I have looked into.
