What OS are you running on?

Even better:  Read about the LOGARCHMETH1 parameter.  This has replaced
most requirements for a custom-coded user exit.

thanks Ian....

I am workin on LINUX............. is it not required to keep the
db2uext2.exe file in the /home/db2inst1/sqllib/adm ?? ...... i heard
tht we have to compile the db2uext2.c program and we have to put tht
.exe file in " /home/db2inst1/sqllib/adm "

.... i tried using logarchmeth1 .............. but its not archiving
the logs......... can u tell me how does it archive the logs without
the db2uext2.cdisk program............

Regards
Kamal

The documentation is generally very helpful in understanding how the
software works.  You should try reading it!
