Hi,

I'm after forgetting a password for a database user.

DB2 on linux client, server on zSeries. 8.1.5 is the version.

I can connect as user SYSADM, which has full authorisations.

What's the equivalent of ALTER USER SM1ADM IDENTIFIED BY PASSWORD for
DB2 please?

Regards.

Yes, but it can be changed when entering the CONNECT statement.

I couldn't figure out the correct syntax to do that.  The DB2 admin
changed the password on the mainframe and I ran some SAP utility
programs to sync the passwords again.  All's OK now.
