Question rgarding the Column encription

Is there way to encrypt a column (integer ) in a table in  IBM DB2/ in os390 system. If so can you tell me how to do that

Cast the integer to a CHAR and encrypt that.
(assuming your version of DB2 for zOS has the encrypt function to begin
with of course)
