My question here is, is WebSphere Federation Server really with $125,000? I
almost had a heart attack when I saw that price. And I was really looking
forward to utilizing it, too.
It seems like it'd be nice if pricing were based on the number of different
source types you are federating. We only want to talk to Oracle, and we
have need for the dozen or so others, so why pay for it?

Hmmm. I didn't know the price ... not something I usually get involved
with. It's predecessor, Websphere II had pricing based on processors and
on # of backend data sources. Not sure why it's changed. Do you have an
IBM rep you can ask?
