I read in the Db2 9 Administration Planning guide that DB2LINUXAIO was
depreciated in DB2 9.
In 8.2, it improved my db2 i/o performance on a DB2 implementation on
Linux with Raid.
Why was this value depreciated? The manual doesn't state the reason it
was depreciated.

The AIO in Linux is on by default and that is why this parameter is
deprecated.
