Hi All,
   I inherited an AIX box (5300-06)  with Client install... (I think
it's only client).

How do I check the type of Client (Admin vs Runtime vs Application
development ) on AIX ?
I have to install a fixpak and struggling to figure out the fixpak I
should use...(Admin Client/ RUntime Client/ Application Development? )

$ /usr/bin/lslpp -l db2_08_01.client
 Fileset                      Level  State      Description

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Path: /usr/lib/objrepos
 db2_08_01.client          8.1.1.88  COMMITTED  Base Client Support

$ db2level
DB21085I  Instance "uszasb60" uses "32" bits and DB2 code release
"SQL08022"
with level identifier "03030106".
Informational tokens are "DB2 v8.1.1.88", "s050422", "U800789", and
FixPak "9".
Product is installed at "/usr/opt/db2_08_01".

Thanks

Look for the "signature" component.  e.g., db2_08_01.rtsg.

None.  Use the fixpak.  The admin/runtime/app dev downloads are for fresh
installs (so you can install at the desired level without applying a
fixpak).
