Hello

I've got problems with import database. I don't know logical database
design. Database  isn't very large about  100- 1 Gb I think
Could you help me import all database via LAN all structure   with some
additional procedures  ??? I think triggers ,maybe procedures ?? I don't
have idea
My system is Solaris 7.0 with Informix 7.3 . It's very important database,
critical.

P.S If you have some  interesting links or documents about administration
this database I would be very happy to send me at this address
cinekmk@spam.poczta.onet.pl
of course without spam in address  :)

Thanks for advice

What do you have? Unload files? Any SQL files?

Hi,

I have already had troubles with dbexport / dbimport in 7.31 versions
before 7.31.UD6W8, because in some stored procedures text developers
used the "tab" key to separete words in it.
We decide to separate the <database>.sql file, cutting the part after
create views, create triggers, create procedures in a second or third
file and run these files in dbaccess tool.
It could be good, if you run 'update statistics' for columns which is
part of indexes. The 'create procedure' run fast after that.
Look if you are running dbimport with -l <logmode> parameter.

Good luck. Best regards,  Merry Christmas !            Roberto F.
