9.40.UC3 install problems

Anybody seen this ???  Clean install, not an upgrade on Solaris 7

Installing directory bin
ld.so.1: etc/brand: fatal: relocation error: file etc/brand:
symbol __1cG__CrunMdo_exit_code6F_v_: referenced symbol not found
etc/install[7]: 741 Killed

9.40.UC2 is for Solaris 7
9.40.UC3 is for Solaris 8

Still might be a Solaris 7 problem.  With 9.20/9.21/9.30 on our Solaris
7 build the ETX.1.30.UC7 blade takes the engine out
