I'm an informix newbie. So my question is very basic.
After I have backed up the logical logs how is the process of
reapplying them to the database to get it current done ? The logs have
been backed up using ontape -a
Thanks,
Jack

You would only have to reapply logical logs as part of restoring an
archive, and so, it is done as part of the physical/logical restore with
ontape -r.

Hi
After backing up the logical logs via "ontape -a", you can reapply those
logs in one of 2 ways:
(1) "ontape -r" which will restore the physical backups (level 0, 1, 2),
then it will prompt you to restore the logical logs.
(2) "ontape -p" which will only restore the physical backup, then "ontape
-l" which will restore the logical logs.
thanks. Davis.
