how to read data from database on other machine

Hi all,

I was wondering how we can read data from an Informix  (IDS) database on
another machine.
Do I need to metion in the sqlhosts file the other database server? etc....

thanks for any tips!!

Hi Danny,

Yes, ServerA must have listed serverB in his sqlhosts, and also serverB
should have listed serverA in his own sqlhosts.

But also the users must be trsuted in the remote hosts, this can be done
listing the host in each other /etc/hosts.equiv file.
