Hi guys, I got trouble installing Informix 7.3 on a RHEL box.

"bash: /home/informix/installserver: /usr/lib/libc.so.1: bad ELF
interpreter: No such file or directory"

This error message keep popping out every time when I try to run the
installation scripts, all 4 scripts, installserver, install4gl,
installsql, installesql, didn't work.

It's a newly installed RHEL, my system version info:
Linux version 2.6.9-34.EL (gcc version 3.4.5 20051201 (Red Hat
3.4.5-2))

I don't know if it's a libc problem, can I fix this by installing
glibc? I thought RHEL should have installed certain version of glibc

Why not try IDS 10.x?
(Lots of improvements ...)

Also, just my opinion, YMMV... I prefer Novell's SuSE as a Linux distro.

Should make your life much easier.
