Did I miss the result of the election for the IIUG Board of Directors for
2008?

"Closing date for 2007 nominations was 15th November and the election took
place from midnight US Eastern Standard Time on 01 December thru 15
December. The results of the election will be announced on the IIUG.org home
page after the winning candidates have been contacted and confirm their
acceptance on the board"

15th December was over 7 weeks ago .....

I think you are looking at dated information. Look at
http://www.iiug.org/iiug/election/ . It has the current election
information. Nominations just closed a week or so ago.

Nominations closed January 28, 2008. Elections will be in February,
candidate info is supposed to go out soon. Did you read this month's
Insider newletter? There it says:

"Board elections are coming up soon. If you have read this far then you
should get ready to vote. Announcment is due mid February..."

What would be a good working definition of "mid-" February then?
