Plan to buy a book on informix sql programming

so that i can learn not just the synatx, but the cursor, store procedure....
etc

any suggestion.

Why buy when you can go online and get the information for free?

If you register with IBM, I believe you have access to the online documentation that comes with IDS.
It should contain a .pdf manual of SQL and then other manuals on the other features.

I recommend that everyone copy that link to your bookmarks.

Just try and find the books on the IBM website when you need them.
No, not a dig against IM, but IGS since they're the ones who control the IBM website.
At least so I'm told.... ;-)

You make very interesting comments on this newsgroup, but I must say this one
is not one of them... Let's see:

Product: informix
Company: IBM

Let's try http://www.ibm.com/informix

... works... what do we see...? A left menu... What's on top?
"library"... nice... let's try it... Wow!!!! A lot of links to all kinds of
documentation including a "Manuals Online" with a bold sentence "at no
charge"... It even has a link to "Bookstore".... Difficult?

The Web site has a lot of dark secrets, but the Informix Documentation is not
one of them... :)
