Hi,
I'm creating index on "PPOIX" table. But it is taking too much time.
What might be the reasons

Pls help me ASAP

One has to just read the message and can be sure 100% that
this message has been posted from india by someone who has
just now discovered usenet.

Please learn first how to put across your message correctly
in a public forum and give details.

What is the version of informix.
What is the onconfig.
What is the PSORT and NPSORT env variable set to.

And BTW I am an Indian too.

Read the Performance Guide manual. Informix manuals are online at:
www.informix.com then click on library and follow he links from there
to the manuals for you version of IDS.
