We are interested in standard daily IDS monitoring and SQL server executed
scripts collection. From time to time, some SQL scripts seem to overload our
server, but it's difficult to identify which one should be optimized. Our
environnement is a blend of 4GL, ISQL and WebServices programs. We need a
tool which would help us to pin-point what was wrong at  a given point in
time. Currently we are assesing such tools (eg ASG Studio Server & Sentinel)
and heard about Nimbus. How easy is it to install and use ? Have you had to
write the fonctions you needed or are there ready-to-use customizable
built-in fonctions ? What about server overhead and performances when using
Nimbus ? You seem happy about it... but was it from the very beginning ?

We have been using Nimbus to monitor Informix for a couple of years now.
Are there any specific questions which you might have? It has worked
well for us. We have written several custom probes which monitor and
collect statistics for us.
