We had some version of Informix running on an AT&T unix server. All of
the clients were daisy-chained with their green screens displaying a
simple menu. Other apps like Lotus123, WordPerfect, and DBASE III were
available. AT&T, Vax, Mac, and IBM were among several vendors who had a
presence on campus. From this exposure, I at least had some clue about
Informix and how it compared to competitors.
