Hi all,

we have some PCs (Win 2000 and Win XP) for testing purposes. The PCs run
Ingres 2.5 and OR 4.0 runtime. No problem to install this because with
Ingres 2.5 installation CD, everything can be installed into one single
II_SYSTEM directory.

Now, with Ingres R3 installation, w4glrun.exe is missing. Is it possible
to take the 2.5 CD and install only OR 4.0 components into existing
Ingres R3 installation?

TIA
Gerhard

The R3 Beta release documentation  said that wasn't possible because both
are built from different code bases.

Install OR into a separate installation on the same PC if need be (in fact
just install R3 into a different installation).
Presumably you can evaluate R3 with a single installation with the other PCs
networking to it?

Paul
