Does anyone know of a trace point that would give the number of pages
used by a given query?

Trace point QE90 is the nearest thing I can think of.  But I suspect that is
not what you are looking for.  What are you trying to discover?

I want to know the number of pages a query will use to help predict
whether the query will fill the transaction log file.
