Hi Dudes,

Is it possible to configure IngresNET so that the user authentication
is done not at the host being connected to but at a third party host
such as an LDAP server?

It may be possible to use NTLM authentication if your using an ADS (and
ADS can double as an LDAP server) although I'm not sure what format
you'd use for the user name in accessdb.

Other than that, Ingres does have an extensible authentication
architecture and it's all set up for you to write and link in your own.
This won't necessarily be easy, but it's possible.
