Ingres Corporation releases Ingres 2006 rls 2 Beta
for the Windows x86 platform.
Ingres Corporation is pleased to launch the beta version of the Ingres
2006 rls 2 Windows platform.
With this latest update, the Ingres Development team has focused on
the following areas:
- Ease of use for new users (new installer GUI, application demos, etc)
- Partner enhancements to enable greater ISV application support i.e.
(BEA Weblogic, Red Hat JBoss)
- Performance enhancements
- Joint HA activities with Red Hat (active passive failover solution
with Red Hat GFS)
- Supportability enhancements
- Integration of latest fixes
- ANSI Date & Time support
Ingres .Net Data Provider is also available for download with the
Ingres 2006 rls 2 beta .

Ingres is beginning to look as though it's moving with the times. For
me before triggers are a major enhancement,, need to see how they pan
out in practice.
Now where are user-defined functions, ones which don't rely on a c
compiler and a knowledge of how to hack on the ingres internals
............................. ?
