Gang,
Someone brought this up before, but I'm wondering
if anyone has any experience with installing Ingres 2.6
on HP-UX without access to root.
Anyone have a recipe?
Please don't ask why I can't get root. (I wouldn't be
asking this if I could get root!)
Thanks,
Mike Leo

Hi Mickael,
I guess you have to use root once.
I couldn't get root so ... I ask my system administrator to execute the
following commands with the user root:
ingres.env (launch ingres environment)
$II_SYSTEM/ingres/install/mklicense
P.S : You can ask your "friendly" system administrator to allow you using
these commands via "sudo"...
Then I installed ingres 2.6 on HP UX with an user called ingres group
ingres.
