List of Trace Points

Ok, Martin's reply regarding sc924 for tracing lock queries throwing
specific errors was news to me....

Does there exist a comprehensive listing of trace points and their
functions?  The only one I've found appears to have not been updated
in ~10years.

It ought to be reasonably complete for Ingres 2006, although
I haven't gone over it carefully for at least a year.  I keep
meaning to clarify some of the descriptions, but never get
around to it...

ok, thanks for the info.

just out of curiousity...how do these lists get developed
anyway...perusing the code, past exp. or ???

The trace point list was the first thing I did when I got
code access as a CA subcontractor;  it was a good way to
figure out the backend layout (there were no helpful docs
back then), and scratch a curiosity bump, at the same time.
I think this was in late 2002.

So your answer would be: by reading the code.
