Hi all,

Has anyone had an opportunity to implement RAC on AIX 5.2 (64 bit)
running Oracle 9.2. I would be grateful if you could please share your
experience.

I also need to know what the operating system-dependent (OSD)
clusterware for AIX is called.

In there another option other than  RAW device for 9i RAC?

Thanks & Regards,
Farid

We use IBM HACMP for inter-node communication and GPFS for the shared
filesystem (this is on AIX 5.3, but most applies to 5.2)

Did you set up RAC from fresh or did you move your single node instance
to RAC? I have a single node instance that I am looking to move to RAC?
Any pointers or issues that you may have had,.  would be grateful if
you could please share.

I know of JFS and JFS2 but do not know much about  GPFS? Is this
available of AIX 5.2? I assume this is an alternative to RAW Device.

Thanks & Regards,
