RAC backup questions

Group,

We just installed Oracle RAC(10.2) on linux.

We would like to backup the database for ASM disk and local disks at
the same time, so that every nodes can have access to the backup and
legato can have access to the file as well.

How could I ask RMAN to backup to two places at the same time?
One is to +ASMBAK, one is to /legato/rman?

Thanks

You can start 2 backup jobs, one for ASM and the other for Legato. I don't
see an issue here.

I do. The answer is blatantly incorrect. Please read the RMAN
documentation.

You are correct. That's the proper way to do it. OP can ignore my previous
comment.

One of the most important considerations is "where" to run the backup.

You don't want to run on every node ... and you have no guarantee that
any specific node will be up at 2:00am.

Executing the job from DBMS_SCHEDULER solves the problem.

Please read the documentation.
The procedure is described in full.
Please do not ask people to abstract the documentation for free.
