Same kernel version this side and similar unresolved externals reported
when doing a modprobe. Only if I recall, ours were related to PowerPath
and was not external symbols inside oracleasm.o itself, though it
seemed to trigger these error messages.
I ignored these - ASM is running fine. ASM instances are running fine.
RAC instances is using the ASM volumes without any problems. Touch wood
as it is still a very fresh config here. (just make sure you consider
the multipath disk issues with ASM if applicable)
You can do an up2date to kernel version 2.4.21-30 (or is it -32?) and
see if these errors still occur. Unfortunately we cannot (tried but it
broke our Infiniband kernel drivers that does not yet support later
kernel versions).

I got a resolution from Oracle: oracleasm-2.4.21-27.EL-1.0.4-3.ia32e.rpm
installs properly.
Cheers,
Valentin

That looks like a 32bit driver.. is it?
There are performance overheads to pay for running 32bit in a 64bit o/s
as 32bit calls are thunked into 64bit calls.
