No - I replied in cdo.server.

If you really need this, why not have the uni provide it?

Or contact Oracle, maybe they can provide a copy of it; I doubt
when I would, if that would be legal, so let's not go that road.

Either

a) put Linux on the machine

or

b) choose a server that will still work with 98 - Firebird and/or
PostgreSQL will AFAIK run on 98 (though it's not recommended for
serious work, undergrad messing around should be fine!).

How much RAM do you have? Why can't your uni provide you with a 2000
or XP box? AFAIK, virtually all educational institutions (here in
Ireland anyway) get Widows for free.

XP Pro, SP 2,

Oracle, 9.2.0.1.0 (Enterprise Ed.)
Interbase 6.0.1.0;

When asking database related questions, please give other posters
some clues, like operating system, version of db being used and DDL.
The exact text and/or number of error messages is useful (!= "it didn't work!").
Thanks.

Furthermore, as a courtesy to those who spend
time analysing and attempting to help, please
do not top post.
