Hello, I need to audit the security and segregation of duties for a
Progress database; is not much I have found about this topic; can any
recomendme some spots to look at for information? is there any list of
default passwords I should take care for example?

I'm working with a company who is using an older version of Vantage (6.10).
I've noticed that several users have numerious temporary files in their
epicor working directories (under \epicor\mfgwrk61).  Most of these files
begin with a letter sequence of either DBI, LBI or SRT.  ...

running Progress V9.1E under Windows 2000 server.
I run database broker using a service (-N TCP -S my_service)
When trying to run client (on same server) using -H localhost -N TCP -S
my_service the client can connect to database.

I am trying to load data into my new database using the COPY statement
and I am having constraint violation problems.
One table has a column (updated_by) that stores the user_id of the
user that saved/inserted the data, in effect the owner of that data.

does anyone know how i can append output to a file in Progress?
I have a small program which runs every 5 min, and it does some output to a
text file, but on each time it runs, it overwrites the file.
