I had a FMP4 (Mac) file with a few thousand records in it. I did the "delete all" command and waited a FEW HOURS until there were no more records. Now the file is about 7mb or 13mb depending on the version of saved copy I look at. What's going on? How do I get it back to 'empty'

I have a stand alone solution available on all the platforms. Some of the users who downloaded the Mac OS9 version are moving up to OSX - can I just replace the runtime engine with an OSX version and have the solution work? My assumption is that all the files are just data.
