I am looking for assistance in creating a calculation for placement in the
sub-summary part of a layout.
The report (layout) is grouped by weeks and I want the calculation to show

If I stablish a relationship among 2 databases, then from DB1 I carry
out a scripted search for records in DB2 that comply with the
relationship:

We use filemaker in a shop. Now we are allowed to round the amount
someone has to  pay on 5 eurocent. Lets say the amount is 12.42 euro,
than it would become 12.40 (1,2,6 and7 are going down). If the amount
is 12.43 euro, than it becomes 12.45 euro (3,4,8 and 9 are going up).

Because on WinXp the drive on whitch the system installed is not always C:, I
like to make a general command to safe a copy of the database.
Normaly you can use  filewin:/%SystemDrive%\copy.fp7 or  %Temp%\copy.fp7 to
adress the location but on FM7 this won't work.

Can Someone help me with the use of barcodes in Filemaker Pro 5.5
Maybe there some kind of plugin that I need?

I am re-learning FM 7 to make a solution for my small business. I am in
the planning process and thinking about the ways I want the solution to
behavie, and the features I would like. One important one, as it is for

I have a list of many thousands of books in two places, each with a
unique number, and want to collate the two versions to check for
accuracy. So I open one version, identify the items with a flag, then
import the second version giving it a different flag.

Can I made a stand alone solution with filemaker that in a specific day (for
example next year) it doesn't run?!
Well. I think.. with an initial script that chek date and then leave or not
solution runs?

So on the filemaker website, it says that it can have 100 simultaneous users via web
access. That's a downgrade from the fmp6Un, right? What was the fmp6Un limit? Or was there
a diffence b/w the limits from an IWP database and a CDML database?

I used FM 2.1 and 3 for years. Now a little bit out of business (done other
things the last years) I wanna build a small i-net website including selling
items (not more than 100 different things and having about 50 web-site hits

or do I have to purchase the server program too.

Dang, just about finished an app, and I was messing with making a script
based menu. Some how, I have the start script doing an 'exit application'
Which means... When I open the file it automatically exits filemaker. Any
one have an Idea how to keep it open to fix my error???
