While I'm happily designing my database with FMP Advance 8.0v1 on MacOS
10.3.9, I press Cmd-L and nothing happens. I have to use the mouse for
the layout mode.
In the menu View, the shortcut Cmd-L is gone.

I have a Todays Date field that Gets(Current date) with each new
record. I cannot figure out how to get the one record to auto-update to
Get(Current date) every 24 hours. This is necessary because the file is
a "launch pad" that once opened, stays opened indefinitely. Any help

I am new to FileMaker and would like to know if there are any local user

If I'm using LDAP to authenticate users to Panther Server, how do I use
the same mechanism to authenticate them to Filemaker Server?
The FMS manual says you can do it, and gives you an example incantation.
 But it asssumes you understand all the LDAP-y stuff, which I don't

I have a simple "enter find" and "perfrom find" script.  Sometimes it
runs fine, then sometmes it will come back with a "restore find" that I
did not intend for it to do.

I have a Orders file that relates to  a LineItems file via OrderID.
How can I duplicate all the LineItems from one Order and assign them a
new OrderID?  FM7 in a cross platform solution.

I have built my very own first relationship database (FM 8.0) with
twelve tables, various one-to-many and three many-to-many

The startup script in one file executes a script in another, which
simply updates certain future dates in that file for lookup later. Both
files are set to open as user "Admin". Up to now, all has worked
