the subject is a bit misleading. this is my situation:
right now i have my "Gig" database (im a musician) in FMPro. i want
this online so heres what i do now:

I need to migrate a Filemaker database sitting on MAC onto a MSAccess
database on Windows.  
I was just provided a *.dat file as a sample.
I don't know anything about Filemaker (and I don't own it), and here

I inherited a couple of old, small databases in Mac fp5 format.
The new OS X server has FileMaker 8, and client installs for 8. I
installed 8 on a mac and when I opened one of the old fp5 databases it
prompted me to save them somewhere safe while it upgraded them to fp7

Scratching my head on this one.
I've been working on a database that migrated it's way from FM6 to the
current FM8.
When I print from this database and select the PDF option in the Mac

When we try to send an email from FMP, MS Outlook give us a warning, saying
that,
"A program is automatically try to send an email on your behalf. Do you want

Each time I open any database in FMP6, a new file called 'FMWSDEBUG.txt'
is created in the folder containing the various individual *.fp5 files.
This does not harm anything, but it's a bit irritating. I just put it by
hand in the trash.
